Minor Repairs and Handyman Services

We understand the importance of supporting our elderly customers in maintaining their independence. We specialise in minor handyman works, ensuring a safe and comfortable living environment. We work closely with family members, providing assistance to help loved ones stay in their homes longer.

Minor repairs and Handyman Work

Minor repairs are offered by agreement and are limited to small, non-trade tasks that can usually be completed during a scheduled visit.

Adjusting or tightening loose door handles and hinges
Replacing internal door handles and knobs
Re-hanging cupboard or wardrobe doors
Replacing cupboard catches and latches
Replacing toilet seats

Safety & Compliance Items

Replacing smoke alarms and CO alarms
Changing alarm batteries
Securing loose internal handrails (non-structural)

General Maintenance

Changing light bulbs
Replacing extractor fan covers (not electrical components)
Resealing small areas around sinks or shower screens
Minor silicone repairs

Cosmetic & Practical Tasks

Filling small screw or fixing holes
Refitting loose shelves
Basic draught-proofing strip replacement

External (Limited)

Adjusting gate latches
Securing loose fence panels (minor fixes only)

All work is non-specialist and non-emergency. Any items requiring qualified trades or more extensive work will be clearly noted and reported.

Pricing

Minor repairs are charged at £35–£40 per hour (1-hour minimum)
Work is offered only to existing inspection or support clients
Materials are charged separately where required
All work must be agreed in advance

Terms & Limitations

Minor repairs are provided as a convenience service only and are limited to small, low-risk tasks. No specialist trade work, regulated activities, or emergency repairs are undertaken. Malvern Property Support reserves the right to decline or refer work where it falls outside scope or requires a qualified contractor.
